Inclement Weather Update

February 13, 2021 | 0 comments

Greetings saints,

Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I can honestly tell you, when I accepted the call to come here from Buffalo, NY, I thought that I would never need to write this sort of email again. And yet, here we are.

As many of you having been watching the weather forecast, so have I. I have also been in consultation with our Bishop, other churches, and our Senior Warden, Steve Hawrylak. After their wise counsel, much prayer and contemplation, I have decided to cancel our services tomorrow, Sunday, February 14. Instead I will lead Morning Prayer on YouTube from my home at 11:15am. The mass link that was sent out in an email Friday will work to connect to the livestream. You can find the link to the livestream here. We will use the ‘79 Prayer Book’s Rite Two Prayer service, which you can find here.

As much as I am saddened to make this difficult decision, especially in light of all we have already given up due to Covid, I am convinced this is the wise and loving course of action. Please join me in praying for the Lord’s protection throughout our parish family, neighbors, the diocese, and surrounding areas. May each of you stay safe and warm in the peace of Christ that passes all understanding!

Shalom shalom,

Fr. Andrew Thebeau
